Filming diary

Today we finally got the chance to film and it went in a different direction. Mia and I were originally going to get bus passes to be with Kai and Lucia at her house but sadly couldn't. Thankfully our friend Aidan gave us a ride since he lives close to her. After getting to Lucia's house, the two other actors changed into more appropriate clothing for our opening. We briefly planned what we were doing and things to add to our dialogue.

When we walked to the park, Kai filmed many random shots of them walking in case we needed more filler shots to add. When arriving at the park we decided to change the order of some scenes and add what we thought would make the film run smoother. We added the actors using foreshadowing about the stalker and since it rained earlier that day it added an eerie effect.

Since we all have different schedules we tried to fit the most filming into today that we could. We only had about 2 hours to film because it is a school night and we couldn't go as late. With a time limit, some of us believed it would help us work even better. I was an actor in the film, which I didn't mind since that's been my role the previous projects. It felt like it's been so long since we filmed but I don't think it affected me as much as I thought. I have a really bad habit of laughing whenever we started filming or made eye contact with the other actors but I kept it more in control today. I learned to bite my tongue, in a literal sense, to stop the laughter.

I also could not be prouder of my group. Due to so many changes, we had to work fast on our feet and I believed everyone handled it perfectly. Kai did an amazing job giving her director's opinion and helping us with instructions. The next thing to film is where we are going to put the title of the film. We have a creative and just need the time to execute it. That's the plan for our next filming day.
