over and out

Our music video is finally all completed and I couldn't be happier for the result. Everything from the types of shots we used to the lighting from the fair really came together. Those aspects also allowed us to convey our story of a good day with friends. I was partnered alongside Jacob Pineiro, Kai Lobban, and Lucia Rodriguez once again and it worked out perfectly. After working with them for the first project and getting to know them more I knew I had to once more. Due to us being close friends I feel that we were able to bring the carefree, warm air to light with our song and location choice, This project was so fun to do and was also a really cool way for everyone to express themselves through music. This is definitely going to be on my mind for a while and I can't wait to show everyone our music video. I am beyond happy with our teamwork skills and everyone's contribution to our project, I also can't wait for the next assignment where we get a chance to work as par

Although my main purpose on the music video was not to edit, I saw and heard a lot of things done during the editing process. Jacob was responsible for such things as adding the music and making the video come together. The main focus for the first day of editing was to cut out any video that didn't fit or did not match our storyboard. We all decided to use iMovie for the editing software as we did for the commercial project. I know that software allows you to just drag clips and drop them in place, unlike many other websites or apps. No one in the group including Jacob has much experience with editing of any sort so using an initial beginner program is perfect. Since I wasn't with Jacob while he was editing it was hard to see the process of editing but he kept in contact with us as a group for input. We all decided on the song choice a while ago so that was the easiest part. He had downloaded it to his computer in order to drag it over to iMovie. Finally, it was time to transp

The first day of filming was sadly cut short because of the sun going down in a rapid time frame. We decided we would just film a second day to use a better sense of our time. My team and I met up in Margate once again and began working. The plan was to mainly focus on shots from the storyboard that we didn't film the first day. We had a team meeting initially and said that we would wear the same clothing to make the illusion that we filmed the music video in one day. Once we were at the fair once again our film creator Kai brought up ideas for more establishing shots and more. A new idea mentioned for the video was a capturing shot of me and the other actors waiting in lines for a ride. The shot adds to the music video's tone and emotion. The whole time filming I had to remind myself on what the song choice was and how to convey the emotion such as happiness and as carefree as possible. Since I wasn't the group member responsible for filming I did not know the best way to

The first day of filming was a little more complicated than my group and I anticipated by we managed very well. We had planned to meet up with one of our group members closer to Margate since she was the closest to the fair and we would film the opening scenes. I was picked up by Jacob (another classmate and group member) around 4pm since he's the only one of us with the car. There was still a lot of daylight which was perfect for our first few scenes. We drove to a Starbucks since it was on the way and recorded the scenes getting into the car and the ride there. Once at the fair, or should I say parking lot, Jacob had a great idea to provide some improved scenes. They wouldn't take anyway anything from the ones listed in our storyboard so I thought it was also a cool idea. He had suggested I and the other actor look off into the Ferris wheel across the street at the fair with him while being filmed of course. The scene itself was a good touch but when I saw that the sunset in
