Editing to the max!

Our filming days are behind us and now it's time to edit! We have decided to let Mia edit with the help of all of us if she needs it. She will be using IMovie because she has prior experience with it. When starting this project we changed around groupmates and lost our past editor and gained Mia. She edited her other group's work so we were confident in her ability. We have decided to use iMovie again because it is simple enough software for everyone in the group to use. Since this is longer than our previous projects (the longest one being around 1 minute long) we decided to split the process into 2 days. This will allow for more detailed work and everyone's input will be heard.

Since we filmed and refilmed certain scenes, there were almost over 80 videos to shift through and edit. Since this was an already lengthy process we decided to line everything in chronological order to help her more. This made it way easier for Mia to edit! Lucia was the biggest asset during the editing task. She helped cut scenes and made them all the same size.

The idea of cutting the dialogue during the filming process was great and ended up making things look better and it also made things easier to follow for everyone. This also did not overwhelm the film in any way. It still allowed a simple and clean look.

Something everyone was happy about is how our storyboard was still being honored for the film. That was something the group was worried about with our changes while filming. We finished that day of editing and laid everything out for our second day. It was a good productive day and I am proud of my group.
