Back and doing better

Hello again! It is still Willow Rivera and is currently enrolled as a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. Throughout this year, I'll have to lead you into my journey of being not only with my Cambridge classes but as a student. We are currently starting our final task and 50% of our final. I am very excited to start working on our final project and create something amazing.

Last week I found out there's a tv production class! I wouldn't have guessed and that just increases my interest in staying towards the film track. I am still very interested in a future career in the film industry but not my main goal. I've always wanted to help people, whether that is as a doctor, lawyer, or psychologist. Last year I took. my first AP course and the timing wasn't perfect. I fell behind and didn't do so well but I didn't lose hope. Majoring in Psychology is my main purpose and continuing as a clinical therapist is my mission. 

As for how I am in school, I'm in the school's band, along with the constant hassle of gaining volunteer hours to graduate. I really enjoy being in the band as it allowed e to make new friends and memories. We were invited to "Battle of The Bands" in Orlando, Florida in November. We traveled there and competed against schools from all over South and Central Florida. Along with that, we got to go to a college football game and Universal. I have created memories worth a lifetime in this year alone. Thinking about continuing this journey fills my heart.

Our reviewed film!

After a month of shooting, re-filming, and editing, the project is almost complete. We're relieved and grateful that the project is almost finished. For us, the entire process of making the film was pleasant. Although some areas, such as filming, proved to be more difficulty. Our schedule gave us the most trouble because everyone was so busy. We fixed it in the end and it worked perfectly. The initial planning, storyboarding, and filming were, in our opinion, the most enjoyable aspects of the project. It gave us a lot of creative liberties and allowed for fun. Here, everyone was free to express their ideas, and we all knew what to do. The editing, on the other hand, was not as straightforward. Unfortunately, the video could only fully be edited and assembled by one of our team members. The rest of us couldn't help as much but observe and tried our best with what our groupmate was doing. Genre research: Thriller

Thriller is a genre that focuses on catching the audience's attention by inflicting suspense or anticipation. A commonly confused with the genre horror, the thriller genre is drastically different. While Horror focuses on scaring the audience and prioritizes the main confrontation as the climax thriller does otherwise. In the Thriller Genre, its main goal is to leave tension and leave the audience on edge. There are many camera angles used in the thriller genre. For example, the most common filming angles are closeups or extreme closeups, low and high angle shots, canted angle shots, wide shots, and more. What is en scene is used can drastically change a film. In thrillers typically low-level lighting, props, and little to no makeup are essential. This is to make the film more believable for the audience. To pair with believability and to add emotion when editing thriller films pacing is key. Font: We will be using either a comic book style font such as MV Boli or Sitka Test which allows for a clean look example:  Contrast: Color- White or black Size- sizing depends on the scene and what fits Purpose- what is important for the audience to read? The different titles give the audience the idea of who did what and the production they are able to receive during the film Working title: "Unforgettable" - and will be in all caps using our designated font:  SOMETHING ALONG THESE LINES How will the titles (the words) enter and leave the screen? The titles will enter the screen and placed on different objects on the screen and disappear accordingly  How long will each title be on the screen before it disappears?
