Another group, same effort

Although I have been working with the same three classmates, one of them decided to work solo during this final project. Not that the decision is an indication o four work efforts. In the last two projects, we have done, we got grades appropriately and fairly good scores. I am very excited to start this new experience with someone I don't know. And allow me to share this with you. 

I will be working with Kai Lobban, Lucia Rodriguez, and Mia Obritis. This will be another learning moment to work with others. I was very comfortable working with Kai, Lucia, and Jacob but this is going to be different. I am the only junior working on this project so this may mean a little more to me. Saying this is my most important year for colleges I am very intent on making this a very good final task submission and passing this AICE class.

Our plan was to divide and conquer like we did on previous projects, with everyone taking a significant role in the film creating process. Kia will be the lead director in charge of filming shots that the actors will provide. Lucia and I once again will be the actors. I can only speak for myself but I feel more comfortable being shot for a great final product. To add effects or sound will be Mia one of the editors. Since there is a lot of editing, everyone will be helping out doing small parts. Pertaining to the other assignments due along with this project, like the storyboard, we will be assigned due to strengths. 

The number of group blogs allows everyone to work on many different aspects of the project. We will have to create a title design, schedule, and come up with an overall concept for the two-minute opening sequence. When presented with the workload I was nervous but after looking over everything I am excited to start.

Our reviewed film!

After a month of shooting, re-filming, and editing, the project is almost complete. We're relieved and grateful that the project is almost finished. For us, the entire process of making the film was pleasant. Although some areas, such as filming, proved to be more difficulty. Our schedule gave us the most trouble because everyone was so busy. We fixed it in the end and it worked perfectly. The initial planning, storyboarding, and filming were, in our opinion, the most enjoyable aspects of the project. It gave us a lot of creative liberties and allowed for fun. Here, everyone was free to express their ideas, and we all knew what to do. The editing, on the other hand, was not as straightforward. Genre research: Thriller

Thriller is a genre that focuses on catching the audience's attention by inflicting suspense or anticipation. A commonly confused with the genre horror, the thriller genre is drastically different. While Horror focuses on scaring the audience and prioritizes the main confrontation as the climax thriller does otherwise. In the Thriller Genre, its main goal is to leave tension and leave the audience on edge. There are many camera angles used in the thriller genre. For example, the most common filming angles are closeups or extreme closeups, low and high angle shots, canted angle shots, wide shots, and more. What is en scene is used can drastically change a film. In thrillers typically low-level lighting, props, and little to no makeup are essential. This is to make the film more believable for the audience. To pair with believability and to add emotion when editing thriller films pacing is key. Title design (in detail)

Font: We will be using either a comic book style font such as MV Boli or Sitka Test which allows for a clean look example:  Contrast: Color- White or black Size- sizing depends on the scene and what fits Purpose- what is important for the audience to read? The different titles give the audience the idea of who did what and the production they are able to receive during the film Working title: "Unforgettable" - and will be in all caps using our designated font:  SOMETHING ALONG THESE LINES How will the titles (the words) enter and leave the screen? The titles will enter the screen and placed on different objects on the screen and disappear accordingly  How long will each title be on the screen before it disappears?
