who doesn't like a little improv?

The first day of filming was a little more complicated than my group and I anticipated by we managed very well. We had planned to meet up with one of our group members closer to Margate since she was the closest to the fair and we would film the opening scenes. I was picked up by Jacob (another classmate and group member) around 4pm since he's the only one of us with the car. There was still a lot of daylight which was perfect for our first few scenes. We drove to a Starbucks since it was on the way and recorded the scenes getting into the car and the ride there. Once at the fair, or should I say parking lot, Jacob had a great idea to provide some improved scenes. They wouldn't take anyway anything from the ones listed in our storyboard so I thought it was also a cool idea. He had suggested I and the other actor look off into the Ferris wheel across the street at the fair with him while being filmed of course. The scene itself was a good touch but when I saw that the sunset in the back I knew it was a good choice. When looking at the sunset I happen to notice the time and how little we had left of the sun. This brought some complications since we didn't know how all the contrasting lights would pair with our phones,  I have a really bad habit of laughing at pretty much anything so it took longer than normal. At last, we got our finishing shots of ourselves before entering the fair and continued. As we were walking to the fair Kai, our director, was able to catch tracking shots of us, which is a large part of our video.

There was no specific order on what rides we when went on but as long as there was enough footage of us on each one. Another group member suggested taking photos of each ride's name for an additional added touch. I thought the idea could possibly take away from the rides since you'd have to remember to film that and provide cut-away shots each time. After a small group meeting, we all agreed to not include that in the final product. Once the sun was gone and more people entered the fair we noticed how the lines were filling up pretty fast. During our group meeting, we decided it would be best to split up into twos and film what we can. I remember partnering with Kai and going on a ride while seeing Lucia film us. Using this strategy we were able to get more filming done in a shorter time frame.
